Reviews and Ratings
I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The rooms are spacious and come with great air conditioning, and the staff, especially Doel and Sky, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beach and local bars. While I enjoyed my time here immensely, there were a few minor issues, like a shortage of cups in the kitchen and a little confusion during check-in, but overall, it was fantastic value for money!
My experience at the hostel was quite disappointing. The facilities were poorly maintained with issues like leaking, dirty floors, and musty smells. On a positive note, I did encounter one staff member who genuinely seemed to care about providing help. Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying here due to the lack of cleanliness and service.
My stay at Base Hostel in Airlie Beach was an absolute blast! The place is massive with two gorgeous pools and two lively bars. The staff was incredibly helpful and made my Whitsundays trip seamless, especially Ally at the travel desk. I had a little issue with our van, but the team really went above and beyond to assist us, which was such a relief. The vibe here is so much fun, but if you're looking for a bit more peace and quiet, it might not be the ideal spot for you.
I had a mixed experience at the resort. The location is excellent, just a short walk from various attractions, and the parking was reasonably priced, which I appreciated. However, the rooms left much to be desired, as mine was not very clean and had some issues with temperature control. The service was also hit or miss; some staff were helpful, but others seemed less engaged. Overall, it could be a great place with better upkeep and more attentive service.
I had a lovely stay here, especially enjoying the quiet atmosphere which allowed for a good night's sleep. The laundry facilities were a big plus, making it easy to clean up. While there were some broken fixtures in the huts, the overall area was spacious and beautifully set among trees. However, the reception staff at the hostel left much to be desired as I encountered some unfriendly attitudes during my check-in and the kitchen cleanliness was concerning.
